Electronic closing solutions allow lenders and closing agents to add documents to a secure website prior to closing. This site is provided to the borrower to review the documents for errors, ask questions and resolve document-related issues prior to closing. All of this can be done from the comfort of the consumer's home or office.
Branded with the lender's logo, colors and graphics, this borrower website allows the lender to keep in touch electronically, with a personalized touch for each borrower.
In addition to reviewing the documents, the lender can choose to have the borrower approve and electronically sign the documents.
The following document review options are available:
- Electronic Receipt – Track the document delivery to the borrower's account.
- Electronic Acknowledgement – Require the borrower to select “I Agree” on the document, acknowledging their receipt of the document.
- Electronic Signature / ClickSign – Documents requiring a borrower signature but not in need of a witness can be signed by the borrower in their home as ClickSign documents.
- Electronic Signature & Electronic Notary – Many documents in a real estate process require notarization. The eClosingRoom supports both paper-based and electronic notarization of documents.
- Wet Signatures – Lenders can request that certain documents be converted to paper and signed traditionally.
